Finnish folk metal icons FINNTROLL bring their unique blend of black metal and humppa to Reload Festival 2025! Imagine dark metal riffs meeting cheerful folk music – the result is a party you won’t forget!

FINNTROLL are true masters at incorporating traditional instruments such as accordion and flutes into their heavy metal sounds, creating a sound that is both epic and exuberant. Although they come from Finland, they mainly sing in Swedish – a tribute to the Swedish-speaking minority in Finland. Their lyrics are inspired by Finnish and Scandinavian mythology and tell stories of trolls, nature spirits and other mystical creatures.

Their band name and visual concept revolve around the troll motif from Scandinavian folklore. FINNTROLL have been shaking up the metal scene since 1997 and are considered pioneers of folk metal who have shaped the genre and inspired many other bands.
