STATIC-X at the Reload Festival 2025! Believe us, we are delighted to be able to announce this metal legend to you. As you probably know, Static-X have been scheduled to perform at our festival several times, but have never been able to do so. In 2007, a burnt-down tour bus prevented them from performing, and in 2020 and 2021, the coronavirus pandemic threw a spanner in the works. But this time they are ready to conquer our stage and deliver an unforgettable show.

The US band from Los Angeles, California, was founded in 1994 and has established itself as one of the most thunderous acts of the late 1990s in the metal scene. Their music is an explosive mixture of alternative metal, industrial metal and nu-metal, which they themselves describe as “Evil Disco”. Static-X combine doom-heavy industrial ambience, raging speed metal and electronic techno storms to create a unique sound that will cast a spell over you.

Even though iconic singer Wayne Static tragically passed away in 2014, his legacy lives on through current frontman Xer0. Xer0, the masked singer reminiscent of a cyborg, keeps the spirit of Wayne Static alive. We suspect that behind the mask is none other than Edsel Dope, the frontman of the American nu-metal band Dope. An official statement has not yet been issued. Rather, Edsel Dope emphasizes: “There should never again be a singer from Static-X who is a real person. Wayne will always be the face of Static-X.”
