And that\u2019s exactly what\u2019s in store for you in August 2027, because they\u2019re finally coming to play at Reload. <\/p>\n<p>CARNIFEX sound like night. Like frost. Like choir halls and soot. They realized early on that deathcore becomes even more brutal when you infuse it with black metal\u2019s coldness and a truly dark atmosphere\u2014it is precisely this \u201cblackened deathcore\u201d signature sound that is their trademark.   <\/p>\n<p>What sets them apart is the tension between raw power and atmosphere. There are the breakdowns and the intensity you\u2019d expect\u2014but layered over that is this symphonic, choral, almost horror-like element that makes the space feel larger and casts a darker shadow over everything. <\/p>\n<p>But CARNIFEX isn&#8217;t a band that hides behind genre debates. Scott Lewis has said it clearly himself: They are deathcore\u2014and they stand by it.
