Since their formation in 2006, THY ART IS MURDER have emerged from Sydney’s underground to become one of the most influential names in modern extreme metal. Their career has never been smooth: line-up changes, controversies, artistic changes – but always with the aim of casting an uncompromising vision into sound. And this is a razor-sharp mixture of death metal, hardcore and nihilistic atmosphere.

With Hate (2012) and Holy War (2015) at the latest, they made their mark on the international deathcore scene. Their album Godlike (2023) not only marked a new chapter after the departure of frontman CJ McMahon, but also proved that the band can strike back stronger than ever – with fresh vocals from their new lead singer Tyler Miller, but with the usual brutal heaviness.
