For the first time, the organizers of the Reload Festival are announcing the first bands for the anniversary year 2025 even before the start of the 2024 festival. For the 20th anniversary of the Reload Festival, fans can expect an unforgettable event: For the first time, the main stage will open on Thursday and bring a spectacular program to the stage. In addition to the eagerly awaited performance by Machine Head, who will be rocking the festival for the first time, other top-class acts such as Gojira, who recently wowed fans with an impressive performance at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Paris, and I Prevail are also expected. Regular advance ticket sales start on August 17, 2024 at 11:00 pm.
Sulingen, 14.08.2024 – The Reload Festival celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2025 and promises to crown this special anniversary with an unforgettable program. We are delighted to already be able to present the first top-class acts for next year. A new milestone is set: For the first time, the Mainstage will already open on Thursday to offer you an additional day full of energetic live shows.
Reload Festival 2025 kicks off with an absolute highlight: Machine Head will be performing here for the first time! After almost a decade of absence from festivals, the legendary “Oakland steamroller” will return and bring their powerful riffs and intense grooves to Sulingen. Machine Head, who revolutionized thrash metal with their debut album “Burn My Eyes” (1994), have been a fixture in the metal scene for over 30 years. Look forward to an explosive show that will reflect their long and influential career in all its facets.
We are also particularly pleased to welcome Gojira to our stage. The French metal band, characterized by their innovative mix of death metal and progressive metal, will perform at Reload Festival for the first time. Known for their technically accomplished and atmospheric live shows, Gojira have impressed audiences worldwide with their unique sound and captivating stage presence. Their breathtaking performance at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Paris impressively demonstrated how they can inspire a global audience with their powerful music and gripping stage presence. The performance was celebrated by fans and critics alike and further cemented their position as one of the world’s leading metal bands. Their performance is sure to be a highlight of the festival, immersing the audience in a powerful metal storm.
Another major highlight for 2025 is the performance by I Prevail. With their genre mix of metalcore, electronic elements and melodic pop rock, the US band is one of the most innovative groups in the modern rock and metal scene. After cancellations in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic, their appearance at the Reload Festival will be a long-awaited highlight.
A total of 22 bands have already confirmed their participation in Reload Festival 2025. Regular advance ticket sales start on Saturday, 17.08.2024 at 23:00.
