Reload Festival 2024 was a record year! With 18,000 visitors, the festival was sold out in advance and the atmosphere on the grounds in Sulingen was electrifying. This year’s headliners KoЯn and Amon Amarth delivered epic shows that thrilled you and us as organizers alike.
The performance by KoЯn was a special highlight for us. This band has been at the top of your wish lists for years, and we have been looking forward to this moment for a long time. KoЯn are true legends in the alternative and metal scene and have influenced countless musicians – many of whom have already performed on our stage. Amon Amarth then crowned the festival: With their rousing anthems and a show that lived up to the adventurous ethos of their Viking ancestors, they bid you and us farewell into the last night of the festival.
The festival was also a complete success away from the stages. On the campgrounds, 47 kilometers of barrier tape and 25 kilometers of construction fencing ensured order and safety, while our dedicated aqua crew made sure that the 18 hydrants and 24 fresh water distributors always functioned optimally. With four shower camps and a stable water supply through 6 kilometers of water pipes, your well-being was always assured.
Medical care was also of the highest standard: 350 missions were completed by our professional paramedic teams, who were on standby around the clock. Over 750 volunteers ensured that the Reload Festival 2024 was a warm-hearted and perfectly organized event that delighted you all equally. Their tireless efforts behind the scenes made the festival what it is: a place where each and every one of you feels welcome.
We are particularly proud of the peaceful and exuberant atmosphere that characterized the festival. Despite the large number of visitors, there were only a few police incidents, which underlined the all-round positive experience for all of us.
Now we are looking ahead: in 2025 we will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of Reload Festival, and we are planning to crown this special event with an unforgettable program. For the first time, the main stage will open on Thursday, and with Machine Head, Gojira and I Prevail, we have already confirmed some top-class acts that will make the anniversary another milestone.
